From the INTO THE ARCTIC Project

Stepping out of the Twin Otter with everything needed for two weeks of Arctic river travel, we set up camp.

The fresh Arctic air filled my lungs as I hiked along the banks of the Thomsen River, looking for a place to sketch. Immersed in this transcendent land of 24-hour sunlight, a familiar transformation began to take place. A letting-go that was giving way to living in the moment and raising my awareness of the world around me.
